K Ten Kids Foundation is a is a 501(c)(3), non-operating private foundation established in 2010. Mr. Pierce Keating (President, CEO, and Chairman of Daniel J. Keating Company) and his wife, Katie, started the foundation to more effectively manage their philanthropic efforts while simultaneously engaging their ten children in the process. Our mission is to assist organizations that holistically strive to meet the needs of vulnerable populations primarily within, however, not confined to, the impoverished areas of Philadelphia and vicinity. We believe supporting this mission will help us achieve our vision - to live in a society in which the dignity of every individual is upheld as an equally valuable member of the human family. In accordance with our Judeo-Christian values, we believe that human dignity is upheld when each person's needs are met, and his or her own potential is maximized, resulting in harmonious living within a community that together pursues the common good.We desire that our giving to be personal and purposeful. Our hope is to partner with organizations whose missions complement our own and reflect our ideals as a Foundation.We believe that to achieve our vision, we must listen and learn from our partners, who are directly working with the beneficiaries of our philanthropy. We hope that through better understanding the complexity of their challenges, we can provide guidance from our own personal areas of expertise, while raising awareness and igniting change and support from our own professional and social spheres of influence.
