K9 SAR Inc. is a non-profit volunteer organization that provides trained personnel and dogs to emergency service and police agencies to assist in finding lost or missing individuals. The team specializes in search operations in wilderness, wooded, semi-urban and urban settings. K9 SAR Inc. has established rigid standards for dog/handler teams and member organizations to assure that member teams develop and maintain the necessary qualifications for K9 search and rescue work. All K9 SAR Inc. personnel are volunteers and are not paid for their work, training or support of their dogs. There is no charge for their services in locating missing persons. Private donations of money, supplies and equipment are the only sources of support for unit activities. All monetary donations enable our unit to purchase equipment and obtain continuing education.
