Located in the heart of Georgetown, SC's Historic District, the Kaminski House is an architectural gem that dates from the mid-18th century and stands graciously along the banks of the Sampit River. The Kaminski House Museum offers visitors a beautiful glimpse into the rich history of this significant port city and it contains an outstanding collection of American and English decorative arts and furniture from the 18th and 19th centuries. Mission:Ensuring A Future For The Past: The Friends of the Kaminski House is dedicated to the restoration, preservation and promotion of the Kaminski House, a historic house museum owned by the City of Georgetown, SC. The Friends is a 501(c)(3) educational organization which through a public/private partnership operates the Kaminski House Museum for the purpose of preserving the museum and educating the public about the importance of the site, its history, collection, and relevance to the community.
