The "Kantine Zukunft" helps kitchen teams in transforming the kitchens of Berlin's public catering towards more sustainability by raising the use of organic, regional, seasonal and fresh produce. The aim is to use at least 60% organic produce in the kitchens participating in the transformation process – as far as possible across all food components. The idea behind "Kantine Zukunft" is to invest in the knowledge and know-how of Berlin's public kitchen teams to permanently ensure a higher quality communal catering without significantly raising costs.
