The growth of these old seedling thin shelled walnut is very slow and therefore is very hard and close pored. Our wood also exhibits many color variations. The botanical name of this walnut wood is "Juglans Regia" literally known as Circassion, English, French, Persian and Royal walnut. We have over 25 years of experience in milling gunstock blanks and are in control of all stages of production - from tree to stock blanks. These include grain flow and layouts of blanks which is the most important stage in gun stock production.All our blanks are naturally air dried.
