Found in 2001 by Gagik Ginosyan, the Honored Culture Worker of the Republic of Armenia"Karin" is a multiple prize-winner of the Republican Festival of Ethnographical GroupsIn 2008 and 2011 was honored with a diploma by the Ministry of Culture of Armenia for preserving and spreading the traditional Armenian culture . In April, 2011 in the International IV Festival of National Dances, which was held in Palma de Mallorca, Spain, "Karin" took the first prizeIn 2011 its creative director got the highest award of the Ministry of Culture "The Golden Medal"In 2013 Karin had solo concerts in Almelo, Maastricht and Hague in the Nederlands. In 2013 and 2014 Karin participated in the folk festivals in Dersim region in the Western Armenia (now in the territory of Turkey).On March 22, 2016 Karin introduces a concert-report «Հիրու՜ր խեդ» (with each other) dedicated to the 15th jubilee of the group's activity. 17 folk dance group created in the result of the activity of Karin performed on the concert. The concert approximately had 400 participants.The dominant part of the performance-list of Karin consists of songs and dances recovered during the process of heritage gathering and staged in a way that is familiar to its sprit and sense. Those have never been performed by any other ensembles. The group continues gathering and recovering music and dance, simultaneously with having concerts and performances.The group supervisor of Karin is a senior researcher of the Institute of Art of The National Academy of Sciences of Armenia, Tatev Shakhkulyan. The vocal teacher is Anush Balbabyan and the leader of the musical part is Sevada Iricyan. Sales and Marketing mananger Ani Ginosyan.
