Karva Health is a MedTech platform for healthcare workers to measure, manage, and prevent burnout.Physician burnout is becoming a growing concern in the medical field. Irregular work hours, stressful decision-making scenarios, a fast-paced environment are just a few of the many challenges healthcare workers face every day. It not only impacts the physician himself but also the overall quality of healthcare being delivered. In 2018, the Harvard Global Health Institute declared it a public health crisis, demanding an urgent call to action. Despite this, only a handful of hospitals implement wellness training and coaching for selected staff for a limited period of time. However, the workers again absorb stress as they resume their duties in a mere couple of days.The COVID-19 pandemic was a deep stab in this fresh wound. More than 500,000 healthcare workers are infected globally, a thousand dead and probably more to be affected. This has just increased the #workload on the already burned-out staff, impacting their psychological well-being for years to come. We at Karva are trying to solve this problem by making sure our healthcare workers remain at their best while caring for others. Always.
