Primary/secondary Education - Soweto, Gauteng, South Africa
Kasi Maths is designed to help students from underprivileged township schools to develop mathematical skills, gain confidence in their mathematical abilities, increase their enjoyment of mathematics and in the long-term, help students to pass mathematics at matric level and take up STEM courses at tertiary level. The Kasi Maths lessons currently run every Wednesday from 3:30pm to 5:00pm at the Rosa Parks Library in Soweto. We have a classroom of 20 students. Each term we focus on something new and exciting related to the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) fields. We then tie it all together with self development skills.
