Kawandama Hills Plantations (KHP) is a 6,500 hectare #essentialoil #plantation in the middle of the picturesque Viphya Forest Reserve in Northern #Malawi. Created in 2009, we plant large tracts of land, protect thousands of hectares of indigenous forest and wildlife and employ hundreds of Malawians. We have a fully functional distillation plant where we make #citronella oil used in PMD citriodiol, wood firing kilns for #sustainable #charcoal production and we boast beautiful scenery that many tourists and visitors love when they stay in our guesthouse.We are passionate about trees. Our fragrant #lemoneucalyptus oil is exported, refined and used in the natural insect repellent, our #Virisafe hand sanitiser range and cosmetic, perfume and pharmaceutical industries. We also plant and tend other types of eucalyptus, pine and mahogany for timber markets and distill plants and herbs for local and export markets.
