We started KCRE in 2012 to help people connect intimately with nature. We understood that sooner people realized they were not mere tourists but the torchbearers, more the hope for our planet. We realized it was imperative that everyone took pride in our natural world, understood their role, and most importantly possessed the knowledge and tools to impact change. He has authored and co-authored 11 scientific papers on king cobras and more than 10 scientific papers on other herpetological topics and book reviews. He has rescued and relocated over 350 king cobras from distress situations and monitored over 35 king cobra nests. Sharmila Gowri ShankarSharmila a post-graduate in computer science and former engineer at Microsoft took to the wilderness with her keen interest in snakes, birds, butterflies, and ants. As the Assistant Director, she handles the administrative aspects of KCRE.PrashanthPrashanth is a seasoned naturalist, manager, an expert in identifying caecilians and well linked with the local communities.
