Nonprofit Organization Management - Wellington, FL, United States
K.A.I. is a nonprofit organization that was founded in 2019 by the Sepersaude family who live first hand the experiences and challenges of caring for a loved one with special needs. Ivette and Shane's son, Kai, is diagnosed with a rare genetic disorder called HADDS. Before Kai could walk or talk he danced and hummed to music. This love of music created a bridge between Kai and his siblings. They were able to bond and experience the love of Arts together. While attending a musical performance as a family in 2018, Kai noted the lack of others in wheelchairs around him. He expressed his sadness for those who were unable to attend such events. It was then, as they stood together in front of a stage, that the idea for Keep All Included in the Arts was born.
