The Kellogg Venture Community was started by Kellogg Executive MBA students interested in creating a forum where other Kellogg students and alumni could bring business ideas to a dedicated community of experts for evaluation and development into viable business opportunities. If you have an idea that you think could be developed into a business then KVC can facilitate connecting you with complimentary expertise and resources you need to cultivate your idea. How is the KVC different from other entrepreneurial alumni groups?First, KVC was created for second year Executive MBA students and alumni. Secondly, the difference between KVC and other groups is that with KVC your idea can be in its infancy stages and we help you further develop the idea into a business plan by connecting you with community members that have the expertise you need to get the idea to the next stage – which often is a formal business plan. With other entrepreneurial groups, you need to have at least the first draft business plan and necessary research complete for those groups to provide connections to resources which are often external to said organization. With KVC, you are part of the community leveraging community resources until your concept is ready for either connection to potential investment groups or for launch.
