Management Consulting - Kuala Lumpur, Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
Kemban Kolektif PLT was formed in 2021 by feminist activists Melissa Akhir, Suri Kempe and Alex McCarthy, who are based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Kemban Kolektif provides consulting services linked to the entire project life-cycle using feminist and intersectional lens, particularly in the areas of gender, human rights and its intersections—sexual and reproductive health rights; LGBTIQ+ rights; child rights; and disability rights. Our consulting services include, but are not limited to, strategic planning and theory of change; project design (proposal writing, project planning); implementation (facilitation, workshop management, capacity building); and monitoring, and evaluation and learning (evaluation framework design, mid-term- and end-term project evaluations, social impact assessments, results-based management). Kemban Kolektif also provides technical support and services in the form of research, policy papers, and other writing and editorial services, as well as capacity strengthening and movement building. We also are able to provide multilingual services in English and Malay. Our collective work demonstrates a commitment to women's rights, human rights, movement building, and structural and political change. We have participated in and led advocacy efforts to contribute towards more egalitarian practices, policies and laws in Malaysia and the Asia Pacific region, with collaborations extending beyond those borders. Strategic feminist partnerships and networks are central to Kemban Kolektif's operating model, which helps us to expand and contract as needed. This model ensures access to key subject matter experts and seasoned professionals from around the Asia Pacific region, and teams that can be purpose-built based on the scope of our work.
