The Town of Kennebunk Department of Fire and Rescue Services was organized in 1812 to provide fire suppression services to the Town of Kennebunk Maine. Today we also provide additional services including EMS emergency and non-emergency transport service, wildland firefighting, water rescue, technical rescue and calls with potential for chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear or explosive (CBRNE) exposures.Kennebunk Fire Rescue responds with seventy five (75) firefighters and EMT's to over 3165 calls for assistance annually. The department supplies fire suppression and EMS transport to the Town of Kennebunk serving a population of 12000 and a service area of 37 square miles. We participate in primary mutual aid agreements with area towns servicing a population of over 22000 citizens in order to provide expanded emergency services to Kennebunk and other regional communities. These partnerships have helped us establish safe fire ground practices in all the communities served.
