Government Administration - West Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada
Through the development of the Kenya Education Endowment Fund, we have been able to support hundreds of boys and girls, who would not otherwise be able to afford their school fees and expenses, in the Kakamega region of Western Kenya through scholarships and financial bursaries. As we are a registered charity, our aim is to raise money through collaboration with our local community and corporations with philanthropic and educational interests at heart. With the funds we raise, we assist bright students through secondary and post-secondary school by providing tuition payments. We also provide uniforms for form 1 (equivalent to first year of high school) students, and lend textbooks, revision books, and other school supplies such as scientific calculators which are stored in our Kakamega office. With access to education and the confidence they develop, the incredible young people that KEEF supports tend to become leaders, allowing for positive growth and change in their communities.
