Make a Difference Onlus is a non-profit association founded in 2008 by Mrs. Deborah Chilver and family, with the aim of supporting the education of unprivileged children living on the Eastern Coast of Kenya.OUR ACTIONS:MaD promotes three projects that provides education to less fortunate children:- The Learning Hub- Teacher training exchange project and volunteering programs- Sponsorship of an orphans' educationTHE LEARNING HUBThe school was founded in 2015 and is financed by private donations. It ensures educational excellence to children aged 3-9 and offers a full-immersion English program to the youngest children of the Imani Children's Home. The School currently hosts around 60 children attending the Pre-School and the Primary School up to Year 3.At the Learning Hub the program follows the guidelines of the British Curriculum Early Years Foundation Stage and Key Stage 1-2,integrated with the Kenyan Ministerial Program. The school has a Library which hosts an ever-expanding book collection and state-of-the-art technological instruments (about 20 devices between iPads and computers). The children's progress and achievements are constantly monitored by Mrs. Chilver, who on a regular basis visits the Learning Hub to meet both, the children and teachers.
