KOR started its activities for Afghan Refugees in Pakistan and Afghans in Afghanistan since 1992 by publishing books for University students and children. KOR is a registered NGO with government of Afghanistan (Ministry of economy registration number 579, Ministry of Public Health and ANCB (Afghan NGOs Coordination Bureau).
