1981 is considered the most prominent year in the history of the city, where the new entity appeared in the city of Khor Fakkan and announced the establishment of the club after merging the Yarmouk and Khor Fakkan clubs to become the new name "Gulf Sports and culture Club."In 2017 came the vision of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, the ruler of the emirate, to establish the identity of the city mathematically and enhance the affiliation of its youth to it. He issued his high decision to change the name of the Gulf Club to Khorfakkan Club, to start according to new aspirations and hopes for the future.
