Kietta is set to revolutionize the marine seismic acquisition market with the deployment of the Midwater Stationary Cable concept, called FreeCable™. Our proprietary Recording Autonomous Vehicles (RAV) position and maintain an array of 4C cables at depths ranging from 5 to 150m (ideally 100m), while providing power to the cable and its patented ballast system and recording the data before transmitting it in real time to the control vessel. The shooting vessel(s) sail shot lines perpendicular to the cables, delivering high-density, full azimuth, full offset broadband and low noise data with incomparable productivity and reliability. The system is capable of operating in close proximity to obstacles and production facilities, making it ideal for reservoir characterization and 4D acquisition projects. The system is fully transportable by road, making it possible to acquire data in closed seas, lakes and arctic environments. The small RAVs and their minimal fuel consumption and mostly stationary positioning result in a low-carbon operation. The high signal-to-noise of the receivers allows shooting with smaller sources, reducing impact on marine mammals and fisheries. There is no equipment on the sea bottom, protecting coral reefs and other sensitive sea-floor fauna and flora. We manage all the aspects of the acquisition in partnership with the customer, to deliver the best possible data quality on time and on spec. This consists of a full service including survey design, survey acquisition, data processing and interpretation / characterization.FreeCable is the result of 6 years of R&D, prototype development and full-scale at-sea testing. Industry feedback is overwhelmingly positive, and Kietta's FreeCable system is now gearing up to redefine the quality and productivity benchmarks of the industry.
