"Inspiring Healthy Life Choices" Kings Partnership for Prevention (KPFP) is a non-profit coalition in Kings County, California that works to create an environment of wellness throughout our community. Our members come from throughout the county representing a wide variety of interests. The mission of KPFP is 'to proactively engage our communities by supporting, participating in and creating opportunities for healthy life choices for all county residents, with a strong emphasis on the primary prevention of youth substance abuse and, over time, the reduction of substance abuse among adults.' The membership of KPFP comes together with the common goal of prevention within seven priority areas as defined in the National Prevention Strategy: Tobacco Free Living, Preventing Drug Abuse and Excessive Alcohol Use, Healthy Eating, Active Living, Injury and Violence Free Living, Mental and Emotional Well-Being, and Reproductive and Sexual Health.
