Kingsriver Community was founded in 1986 and has been providing residential and day programmes - Project Life - for people over the age of 18, with a variety of support needs, in a community setting. At Kingsriver Community we aim to provide a living and working environment that is conducive to a feeling of well-being, physical and emotional security. We believe that everyone has the right to dignity and respect, to grow, develop and pursue their aspirations and they may need extra support and education to do so. We consider that a quality life is one where people participate in their community, gain the respect of others, enjoy meaningful relationships, use skills, exercise choices, develop self-esteem and have opportunities to express themselves. Kingsriver Community is fully funded by the HSE, is a QQI registered centre providing accredited courses and is an accredited hosting organisation in the European Solidarity Corps (ESC) programme.
