Kingston Process Metallurgy Inc. (KPM) performs contract bench scale and pilot process development work for chemical and metallurgical industries. KPM integrates lab-based research, backed by a fundamental knowledge of chemistry, process modelling, and economic evaluation to give our clients meaningful results. We assist companies in determining a research plan that leads to clarification of the key operating parameters to give a more accurate estimate of CAPEX/OPEX. As well, KPM performs conceptual process design with unit operations including heat and mass balances and flowsheet development. The preliminary process design can then be used by an engineering firm to give a detailed feasibility study.KPM can help companies with:- Experimental process development and optimization- Techno-economic modeling- Process modeling and flowsheet developmentKPM owns a 12,000 ft² facility with 5 flexible laboratories, an analytical lab (with an ICP, AA, fire assay), SEM-EDX, profilometry, and on-site design and fabrication capabilities for custom test equipment.
