Kinvest is a hybrid approach to community and economic development in rural Rwanda, comprised of two partner entities: the Kinvest Impact Foundation, a Canadian-registered charity; and the Kinvest Global Fund, a social impact investing fund. Together, Kinvest's three approaches are: 1. Kinvest Farms: Kinvest Farms are medium sized commercial farms where local workers build ownership over time. We combine sustainable agricultural practices with professional management, market access, and high value crop selection to help farmers create 10x more value per hectare than traditional crops and methods yield. 2. Kinvest Commons: Kinvest Commons are beautiful rural marketplaces where people gather, and businesses thrive. We combine inspirational spaces with access to clean water, renewable energy, productive assets, and internet to help unlock the potential of local entrepreneurs. 3. Leadership Development: Kinvest is passionate about human potential. We lead cohorts of entrepreneurs through business training and remain connected to motivated graduates through our coaching and discipleship programs. Our staff train farmers in sustainable agricultural practices and financial management to develop farm leaders. Fundamentally, Kinvest believes in the skills, passions, innovation, and capabilities of the people within local African communities, and believe the best solutions for their prosperity are their own.
