Kips Bay Medical, Inc., was founded in 2007 to develop innovative therapeutic vascular technologies for the cardiac surgeon. The Company was focused on developing, manufacturing and commercializing its external saphenous vein support technology, or eSVS MESH, for use in coronary artery bypass grafting, or CABG, surgery.On June 28, 2015, the Company's Board of Directors terminated the Company's eMESH I clinical feasibility trial when results from the Company's new implant technique did not perform at the level the Company believed would be required to move forward with its U.S. regulatory strategy. On September 22, 2015 the stockholders of Kips Bay approved a voluntary plan of dissolution and liquidation of the Company and on September 24, 2015 the Company filed a Certificate of Dissolution with the Delaware Secretary of State. Also on September 24, 2015, the Company filed a Form 15, Certification and Notice of Termination of Registration , with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission suspending the Company's reporting requirements.
