Kiran has 36 years of rich experience as an investigative news journalist. His expertise in journalism covers a varied genre of news reportage including, Labour, Political Affairs, Crime, Civic, Infrastructure and Business, Cultural and Community reporting, besides having been on the forefront in reporting live during natural calamities like the devastating earthquake in Latur (1993), Mumbai riots (in 1984, 1985, 1986 and 1992-93).His rich work experience covers stints with reputed Marathi news organisations like Mumbai Tarun Bharat (1984 to 1989) and Saamna (1989 to 1990), besides working as a contributor for English news daily tabloid Midday and Hindi Jansatta and Marathi Lokprabha magazine belonging to the Indian Express group of news papers (1990 to 1991).This followed a stint with Marathi eveninger Sanj Loksatta and Weekly Lokprabha (1991 to 2007), a stint as Deputy Chief Reporter at Lokmat newspaper (2007 to 2008) and News Coordinator at Navshakti newspaper of the Free Press Journal group of newspapers (2008 to 2009).His varied experience includes a foray into Public Relations and customised Brand Management as Regional Media Head with Mutual PR, Mumbai (2009 to 2010).Kiran has since been regularly contributing news in one of the largest circulated news daily Punya Nagri and some other publications in Maharashtra.
