I HELP PROGRESSIVE CAUSES AND CANDIDATES find and tell the stories that help them win. I was a senior advisor to Tom Steyer on narrative strategy and storytelling. I worked on the Need to Impeach campaign to pressure Congress to impeach Donald Trump and helped set strategy for Tom's presidential run, focusing on elevating the urgency of addressing climate change while ending the corporate stranglehold on our politics. I headed up narrative for Story at Scale, a year-long, foundation-funded initiative to find the most powerful narrative to advance gender justice. Another recent engagement is the Midwest Culture Lab, a project of the Alliance for Youth Organizing to expand civic participation among young people, especially young people of color, in the Midwest and across the country.
