Kirk Goodwin Run Details
In memory of Kirk Goodwin, Galaxy presents an annual 5K and Half-Marathon race to support causes similar to his. All proceeds go to a family or cause with medical-related financial needs. Kirk Goodwin was a member of Galaxy men's social club in 1983 and an athlete on the ACU track team. He died in 1984 because of a car accident, and the Fraternity of Galaxy began the Kirk Goodwin Victory Run in his honor to help his family with medical bills. The family asked Galaxy to continue the run each year to help other families in similar situations. Details regarding the local charity will be posted near race-day.
