The Kite and Key Society is The University of Pennsylvania's oldest and largest service organization. The Kite and Key Society was founded in the Spring of 1924 with a total of ten students. Today, Kite and Key numbers more than 200 students, with volunteers serving via Chat and Chew, Tour Guiding, High School Outreach, and Quaker Days. The Society meets with the 75,000 prospective families and alumni campus visitors as the official greeter for the University each year. Nearly 100 years later, the Kite and Key society is still providing the same handshake of the University, as well as serving thousands of members in the West Philadelphia community.
