Tourism today has the greatest potential ever to contribute to the voluntary transfer of money from rich to poor. Still, only one third of the revenue from our travels in the country remains, as the industry is dominated by large international players and many intermediaries taking commissions. One consequence of this is also that the locals lose the opportunity to define the way their country, their history and their unique experiences are conveyed to travelers. Kiwano Travel wants to give the power back to the locals by having our Kiwano Ambassadors in Asia and Africa as our foundation in all the travel and communication we develop. In this way we do not only build up our ambassadors and their communities, but we also create unique and good experiences for our travelers.
