We build sports clubs in refugee camps and create sportswear to grow our club of supporters.KLABU is a young organisation based mainly in Amsterdam, a social start-up with a scalable business model to power positive change.Over the next decade, we aim to unlock access to sports for 1,000,000 refugees. To achieve this goal, we work closely with a wide range of partners and supporters including UNHCR, Paris Saint-Germain and Electronic Arts. The KLABU Foundation builds and operates our sports clubs on a non-profit basis. The Foundation is funded primarily through donations from institutions and private individuals, and proceeds from the sale of KLABU sportswear. The development and sale of KLABU sportswear is carried out by our social enterprise KLABU B.V. Developing and selling KLABU products gives us a level of independence to become a healthy organisation with long-term impact. Half the profits from sales go to the KLABU Foundation to maintain our sports clubs in refugee camps. The other half are reinvested to increase our brand's impact.
