Koch and Wilson Architect's legacy began in 1916, when Charles Armstrong and Richard Koch formed an architectural partnership combining their strong Beaux Arts training with an appreciation of the unique qualities of the architecture of the South. Samuel Wilson, Jr. joined the firm in 1930, and in 1955 the partnership of Richard Koch and Samuel Wilson, Jr., Architects was formed. It wasn't until 1972 that Koch and Wilson Architects was established. Koch and Wilson Architects has been widely recognized in the Gulf South for its pioneering work in rehabilitation, restoration, preservation, renovation, and adaptive reuse architecture as well as design of new buildings that blend harmoniously in their contextual relationship and offer above all unquestionable quality. The current principals have worked together for more than thirty years and maintain the firm name, as well as the highest standards of traditional architecture established by its founders.
