Komodo Biological Services, LLC is a small working group of qualified biologists who offer expert knowledge and experience to construction firms, utility companies, and private projects. We specialize in the supporting various client and project needs including conducting habitat assessments, pre-construction and protocol-level surveys for special status wildlife, on-site compliance monitoring, creating daily monitoring reports and working along-side construction to achieve a common goal of efficient progress while adhering to project-specific mitigation measures. Biologists who work for Komodo Biological Services, LLC are heavily vetted for their demonstrated understanding of the unique dynamic that exists while working to support efficient project progress while maintaining environmental compliance. We only hire biologists who demonstrate excellent communication skills, proficiency in scientific report writing, and are experts in the applied management of sensitive species. Our background is primarily with fauna of the southwest. Recently, Komodo Biological has provided Authorized Biologists for Desert Tortoise on several Southern California Edison (SCE) and SoCalGas projects and has also been previously approved to monitor and survey for desert tortoise, blunt-nosed leopard lizard, Mohave ground squirrel, giant kangaroo rat, Tipton kangaroo rat, California tiger salamander, burrowing owl, San Joaquin kit fox, nesting birds and various species of bats.
