The Konrad Adenauer Stiftung (KAS) is one of the political foundations of the Federal Republic of Germany. At home as well as abroad, our civic education programs aim at promoting freedom and liberty, peace, and justice. We focus on consolidating democracy, European integration and the strengthening of transatlantic relations, as well as on development cooperation. With its international activities and projects, KAS makes a substantial contribution to international cooperation and understanding.Currently KAS is present in around 120 countries on five continents with over 100 offices. The Department for European and International Cooperation coordinates our international collaboration activities.The KAS Regional Programme Australia and the Pacific aims to foster durable collaboration through political dialogue with Australia and New Zealand. This includes parliamentarian and party dialogue, foreign, security, economic and social policy as well as development cooperation in the South Pacific.
