Established in October, 2009, Korea Finance Corporation (KoFC) is a policy-based financial institution with a mandate to support sustainable economic growth. A quasi-sovereign agency with a 100% direct government ownership, KoFC was incorporated under the Korea Finance Corporation Act, which was enacted as part of the privatization plan of Korea Development Bank. As a policy arm of the government, KoFC's key missions include funding necessary for the industries designated as having economic significance for the country, such as newly growing industries, green energy-related business activities and social infrastructure.
