Restaurants - New York, New York, United States
Kossar's has been selling world famous bialys and bagels on the Lower East Side of Manhattan since 1937. In 1960 it moved to its current location at 367 Grand Street, where it remains to this day. It is a staple of the community, one of the few authentic "old-world" businesses remaining in an increasingly gentrified neighborhood. It stands as an icon to tradition, and a link to the past. The store is a stop on many historic tours of the Lower East Side, and several of New York's finest food establishments buy their bialy's from Kossar's to this day.
