KOTRA is a state-funded trade and investment promotion organization operated by the Korean Government, serving as a bridge between Korean exporters and overseas buyers.Main Activities include:- Business Matchmaking and DevelopmentOutstanding Korean companies and products are introduced to foreign buyers, and we help facilitate business transactions, setting up meetings for both foreign and Korean companies. Moreover, KOTRA provides an Overseas Branch program, where we take a role of being Korean companies' local representative in Canada.- Trade MissionsKOTRA cooperates with local governments and authorities to form and dispatch trade missions consisting of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) wishing to engage in overseas business activities. Export consulting is provided for foreign buyers by KOTRA's Korea Business Center to increase international trade.- InvestmentsKOTRA provides foreign investors/companies with one-stop service to operate their businesses successfully in Korea. Services provided include: consultation on M&A, legal, accounting, tax matters and market research.- Exhibitions/ConventionsKOTRA provides guidance and recommendations to exhibitors and support the cost of international trade shows so that SMEs can utilize trade shows as their most effective tactic for generating leads and building brand image. KOTRA also holds its own conventions and represents Korea at global expos to demonstrate Korea's technology and economy.- Media Contents BusinessKOTRA supports Korean culture and media companies as they interact with foreign buyers. Conventions and expos are held in conjunction with the government to connect Korea to the world both culturally and economically.- K-MoveOverseas employment support project between Korean job-seekers and foreign companies. The main roles are 1:1 match-making service and hosting events such as Job Fairs/Seminar, Workshops, and Mentoring Projects.
