Kowhiti Productions Ltd was established in 2009, to promote and present the leading artists of Maori Contemporary Dance in Aotearoa New Zealand.The inaugural production was the Matariki Festival of Maori Contemporary Dance held at Te Papa, June 24-27 as part of the Matariki celebrations.Currently the Directors are working to produce a showcase season in Wellington of leading Maori and Pacific Island Contemporary Dance Companies in September 2011, as part of the Rugby World Cup Festival.
