KU Global Aid is an international service-learning program that seeks to raise awareness and reinforce solidarity. Even though it is still under the sponsorship of the Office of International Programs, it's management, content and statute are completely carried out by the students. Our purpose as KU Global Aid is to support the development process of the world with global, humanitarian and need-oriented perspectives. In accordance with the needs of the 21st century, we face complex and interrelated problems. Our greatest motivation is making a social impact and solving these problems by considering sustainable and human-oriented design based on social entrepreneurship. We organize international assistance projects every year within this framework. Over the 6 years, we had projects carried out successfully in Tunisia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, India, Zimbabwe, and Brasilia and Turkey.KU Global Aid aims to lend a hand to the communities that need assistance and uniting the principles of responsibility and solidarity. At the same time, we have a purpose of representing Koç University and Turkey internationally. In compliance with these goals, KU Global Aid becomes not just a simple student group, but international social entrepreneurship based on awareness, effort, solidarity, and collaboration.Let's Be United designed by Koç University Global Aid Student Organization, aims to contribute to 11 and 12-year old Turkish and refugee children in adapting to changing dynamics, self-confidence, auto control, communication, empathy, conciliation, at a time when prejudices against other cultures wreaks havoc on associations. Uzun Yusuf Middle School fifth and sixth graders will increase their abilities by using art, music, theater and other artistic activities, to express themselves in order to understand each other better and be more aware of different communities in society.
