Kram/Weisshaar is an international studio at the forefront of the design, prototyping, research, and development of spaces, products and media. Based in Stockholm and Munich, Kram/Weisshaar is committed to realising groundbreaking projects around the world that integrate the latest technological advances.Key projects include the design and implementation of the technology features for Rem Koolhaas' Prada Epicenter Stores in New York City (2001) and Beverly Hills (2004); BREEDING TABLES, mass-customised furniture, including custom code base for genetically controlled design and automated CAD-CAM manufacturing (2003 — ongoing); the design of Carsten Höller's The Double Club bar, restaurant and nightclub in London for Fondazione Prada (2008 – 2009); HYPERSKY (2009) and INFINITE DISPLAY (2009) permanent media installations for private collectors; OUTRACE (2010), weeklong installation on Trafalgar Square empowering the general public to take control of 8 industrial robots and use them to write personal light messages which were recorded and shared as video files; MULTITHREAD (2012) 3d-printed furniture; r18 ULTRA CHAIR PUBLIC BETA (2012) in collaboration with Audi's Lightweight Design Center and Le Mans-winning race team; and ROBOCHOP (2015) popup interactive factory allowing users to remotely control four robotic arms to sculpt foam cubes into furniture. Kram/Weisshaar's work has been exhibited worldwide and can be found in the permanent collections of the Museum of Modern Art, New York, the Centre Pompidou, Paris and the Vitra Design Museum, Weil am Rhein.
