Computer & Network Security - Mexico City, Federal District, Mexico
More than twenty years ago, Kreissontech 21 started developing an ambitious methodology originally meant to optimize computer device storage operation. As such, it caused a degree of surprise on a few examiners as it was granted nine patents in various countries around the world.Nowadays, however, it makes more sense to apply our technology for cyber-security purposes, another one of the initial objectives of our invention. In a business sense, K21 was a platform to learn from the planning and launching of a dozen startup iterations, using different business models, focusing on a variety of markets and industries. All failed. Our core invention has not become obsolete, however. Although K21 has abandoned its initial family of patents, we are still evolving our technology. In a technical sense, K21 learned that its technology converts a corrective security control into a preventative one, a fact that Dr. Bruce Schneier —a renowned cyber-security author, blogger, and cryptologist— acknowledged as "interesting" in an e-mail reply. As well, we learned that our tech is more effective and financially reasonable than the so-called detection paradigm, a mainstream set of best practices that evidence shows is ineffective, costly, and about to become obsolete. In a socially responsible sense, K21 learned how to arrange for the free use of its technology in a regional branch of Save the Children Mexico —an international non-profit organization—, as well as in the State Government of Hidalgo, in Mexico, where it will benefit 2.8 million inhabitants.
