I am often struck by an object's presence within a space and how it interacts with light. I shoot things that inspire me in the moment, but I am primarily a nature, wildlife and landscape photographer. I have always felt a distinct calmness when spending time in nature and I believe this is reflected in my work. What gives me the most joy as a nature photographer is capturing details…textures, colors, scents, temperatures, perspectives, and other living beings…that are often overlooked in our busy, technology-based society. It is my hope that my images provide a brief respite and stir something in the viewer that reminds them to slow down, take notice and find joy in the details of the beautiful world that surrounds us.
