When people hear the word Dietitian, they typically think "diet". Well, I am not your typical Dietitian, nor do I practice nutrition in the typical ways you may think or hear of. Food labeling ("good", "bad", "healthy", "unhealthy"), calorie counting, and food policing are NOT what you will find at KT Nutrition. Intrigued? Keep reading…I believe in using a non-diet approach to food, and the philosophy that "all foods fit" when practicing moderation, variety, and balance. The human body is a powerful tool, and we are all born with the internal ability to nourish our bodies appropriately. Unfortunately, current diet culture and other external influences often create barriers between what we think we need/want and what our bodies are telling us. I believe that when you remove judgement, rigidity, and shame from the equation, it is possible to remove these barriers and reestablish a healthy relationship with food AND your body. At KT Nutrition, I believe that all bodies are good bodies. Providing a weight inclusive, Health at Every Size (HAES) environment is and always will be a top priority.
