We are are a social enterprise based in Kenya, that offers training and support to young people, educators and families in sexual reproductive health, rights and menstrual hygiene management.We produce washable sanitary pads by up-cycling waste materials from our @sokokenya clothing factory. The Kujuwa sanitary pad is a high quality, reusable, inexpensive pad that enables girls and women to manage their periods safely.We employ people trained through the @sokokenya Stitching Academy to produce our pads, providing the opportunity to earn a living wage and improve their quality of life.We believe a monthly period should not be a barrier for girls. It should not hinder them from attending school and it should not cause embarrassment or shame.
