Kwathu Ndi Kwanu is a female led and owned social enterprise that exists to economically empower young single mothers that are survivors of Gender Based Violence (GBV). The enterprise capacitates women by investing in their education and retailing their hand made craft and cultural products. The ladies use indigenous materials and techniques to create home decor items, accessories, home-ware, bags, hats, trays and etc.Our vision is to create a safe space where young single mothers can thrive, gain knowledge and have the resources and skills they need in order to reach their full potential.Our mission is to make sure that young single mothers and gender-based violence survivors find their place in society.Through our volunteer initiatives we have managed to provide vocational training programs and educational workshops that enhance the knowledge and capacity of our partners. Our fundamental beliefs are based on social development and impact, and our team is made up of young passionate women working together to improve the lives and well being of socially disadvantaged young single mothers in rural and urban communities.
