Two friends, Chandreyee and Abhirup, decided to come together and organize an event in order to spread awareness about the basic tenets of feminism, the struggles of womxnhood and the perils of the glass ceiling on the 26th of March, 2021. Recently, we have successfully raised around 18k INR as a part of our Covid-19 fundraiser while imparting knowledge about the feminist movement. We have also hosted our main segment, "Konversation with Kweens" encompassing relevant topics such as the LGBTQIA+ community, gender fluidity, social policy implementation in the education system, discrimination against womyn, intersectionality in feminism and the rampant sexism prevalent in every industry around the country. Our long term vision also includes starting charitable drives for the upliftment of womyn in backward sections of society.
