Kwest On Media is a media platform for journalistic content created by alumni of Pacific News Service, New America Media, and the Youth Communications Project. In many ways, our mission is similar to the mission of those projects: to create and distribute meaningful, thought-provoking journalism from the perspective of often-marginalized communities: young people, immigrants, people living in poverty, foster youth, incarcerated people, and others. We will approach this mission with an emphasis on the media and distribution tools of the 21st century including digital video, podcasts, social media, and virtual reality. Kwest On Media also aspires to be a virtual home for all alumni of PNS and NAM, a place where journalists in our network can publish work from around the world and connect with their colleagues who are committed to continuing the mission of Pacific News Service and New America Media.
