The company's name comes from Barcelona's Best Kept Secret Food Feast. A centenary barbecue tradition where adults and children eat delicious fire-roasted calçots and grilled meats. A Ph.D. student in electronics (J. Delos) wanted to organize a Calçotada in Eindhoven for five friends. Before he realized it, more than a hundred people subscribed to the event. There were more than five hundred attendants in Eindhoven's annual festival three years later. La Calçotada is the world's unique online platform that delivers multiple forms of Calçotada experiences in The Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, and Luxemburg.
