Inception Entertainment, LLC was created in 2016 to bring unique experiences to people of all ages in the La Crosse area. In 2015 we started La Crosse Segway Tours. We provide locals and tourists alike an unforgettable experience via Segways! But that just wasn't enough to keep us satisfied year round. We are excited to bring to the coulee region the escape room phenomenon that's sweeping the nation! We will be located in the Batavian Bank building starting with a Bank Heist themed room. As we continue to grow, we will expand into three additional rooms, all with unique themes. To keep things fresh we will be changing the room themes every year. The games are based on "escape the room" video games in which the player is locked inside a room and must explore their surroundings in order to escape. Players must be observant and use their critical thinking skills to escape the room. Other inspirations include adventure board games and movies. The earliest real-life room escape, "Origin", was created in Silicon Valley by a group of system programmers in 2006. The mysteries and challenges in the game were inspired by the works of Agatha Christie and became a popular tourist attraction. Escape games have been held in the United States, Europe, Australia and a number of Asian countries. In the 2010s, real-life room escape games became popular in the United States, Japan, Taiwan and mainland China. Each game integrates local concepts or original themes to settings. For example, game themes can range from a toddler's play room to a zombie apocalypse and anything in-between.
