La Fonda on Wilshire is located just minutes from both Downtown and Hollywood. This iconic restaurant was the first and is now the finest mariachi restaurant in the country. It is situated in a beautiful and historic Spanish Colonial style building, which is also the home to the Hayworth Theatre, featuring outstanding live stage productions. The restaurant has a wonderful new menu loaded with succulent gourmet Mexican dishes expertly prepared by Executive Chef Martin Garcia. La Fonda is currently featuring live music 5 nights a week and also features a wonderful Sunday Brunch with a delectable sit down menu. We are also open for lunch Wed.-Fri. and our convenient location makes it an ideal spot to meet a friend or business associate to enjoy a terrific meal.The restaurant which was originally opened in 1969, has always been known as a Mecca of fine Mariachi music and that tradition is proudly carried on today. We are currently featuring performances by the renowned Mariachi Monumental de America de Juan Jose Almaguer.
