LA FROMAGERIE began over twenty-five years ago in 1991, up a mountain on a skiing holiday, where founder Patricia Michelson first tasted Beaufort Chalet d'Alpage. She brought a wheel back home to London and, with it, started the business. We have two locations in central London, Marylebone W1 & Highbury N5; the first shop, situated in Highbury Park, opened in September 1992; and our flagship shop opened on Moxon Street (just off Marylebone High Street) in November 2002. Our third location is due to open in Bloomsbury WC1 on Lambs Conduit Street soon. Each location has its own identity and focus, but all feature our signature walk-in cheeserooms.The Wholesale Department was developed alongside our shops and we have been supplying farmhouse cheese to restaurants & shops since 1991. We have a dedicated team of cheesemongers based in our warehouse in Highbury, where our affinage operations take place in our specially designed cheese rooms devoted to maturing & refining cheese. We work directly with corporate clients and private customers to design bespoke events and a variety of different gifting solutions tailored individual need and budget.
